101 Benefits of Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has become somewhat of a revelation for me. I began using it for my hair a couple of years ago, and it works wonders. If you are looking for an intensive hair treatment that is completely natural, I suggest using coconut oil, which you can find at grocery stores and health food stores everywhere. You can use it as an intensive treatment and leave it on overnight with a shower cap, even just leaving it on for 20 minutes does the trick (it really just depends how dry your hair is). This is one of the many benefits coconut oil has.
Coconut oil also has some tremendous benefits for your skin. It relieves dry skin including eczema, it cures acne (because of its anti-bacterial properties), it lightens age spots, and it has be known to relieve bumps on the legs, arms, and back (commonly known as keratosis pilaris or “chicken skin”). Pregnant women also use it to prevent stretch marks.
There are also some miraculous health benefits for those who use coconut oil for relief from cancer, diabetes, HIV, kidneys problems, high blood pressure and cholesterol. When taken orally it helps to improve bone strength and dental health.
Coconut oil is also one of the best oils to use when cooking over high heat, unlike olive oil. To learn more about when not to cook with olive oil click here: www.eatingwell.com/blogs/healthy_cooking_blog/why_you_shouldn_t_always_cook_with_olive_oil

Give me strength

imagesCAY81KFM
I found myself in another part of my brain today.
I have a different blood running through my veins today.
Realized if there’s a meaning to life it’s got to be change.
We like to walk upon familiarity but being content upon the introduction of something new isn’t that strange.
Sometimes it’s a healing; sometimes it feels like a cut, but there is always good to come out of it even if you trip in the middle of your strut.
Regardless of the outcomes, we seize the day;
Knowing that where there is bad, good is lying not too far away.
Let the hard times make us strong and the good times help us to move on
Because before we know it, life is gone
And there’s a whole lot more meaning to it than being society’s pawn.

Poetic Enlightenment – Unformatted

When you let your head hang heavy you’ll sink like a broken boat
Keep your head up and you will begin to float
Because the way you perceive
Determines what you receive
I used to see the world through my own two eyes
Now, world, I see it from yours
There are so many lies
Put down your swords
Just look and see
I see what is all around me
I concentrate on the instantaneous values of truth
No longer submerged within the mind of my youth
What I’ve been through
Helps me stay true
When I make a decision
I let my shadow follow beside
Complete with such precision
Because I did it with all of my mind
The light is no longer too bright
My eyes adjust
I look up and it’s the perfect sight

Change is Inevitable

Nothing stays the same
Constant change is what makes the world turn
Change evokes change within us
So embrace it; let it guide you
And never take what you have at that valued moment for granted
Because it won’t be here forever
And when it’s gone, it’s gone
No matter how hard you try to hold on

Let It Be

Our hearts beat without thought
Our breath breathes and eyes blink
We give and we take
We love and we hate
We jump and we fall
Through all:
Let the trees teach you to stand tall
Let the clouds coach you to move, change and shape
Let the ground keep you as real as the roots that grow from within
Let the sunrise show you new beginnings
Let the warmth of the sun embrace you and show you bliss
Let our eyelids fall down with the moon
Let the beating hearts that surround you intrigue you
Let your soul beam and be free
Let the music teach your heart and feet to dance in-sync
Let your feelings be expressed without fear of judgement
Let your body, mind, and soul be balanced and united
Let yourself live, learn, and love devotedly
Let the universe teach you all that we are: Stardust gravitating through a diminutive dimension in time, meeting, loving, moving on.
Let the air you breathe carry in positivity
Let your heart beat and your eyes blink
Let your being work like the amazing instrument it is, as the universe does so.
Let your mind unlock the beauty of the universe.
Let us all find peace within
All is one; Let it be as so.
